Job Summary

In this role you will be developing a Cloud Orchestrator and help accelerate the leadership of NetApp in Hybrid Cloud globally. We expect you to be an excellent coder who will take a lead in design and implementation as per the requirements of a managed Cloud Services, and should be able to quickly learn the existing code & architecture.

Job Requirements

  • Strong coding skills and a solid understanding of data structures.
  • Proficiency in one or more programming languages, such as Go, C++, or C#. Experience with Python or Java is a plus.
  • Hands-on expertise in container-based technologies, preferably Kubernetes and Docker.
  • Familiarity with cloud service APIs, such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  • Understanding of REST API design and implementation best practices.
  • Thorough understanding of Linux or other Unix-like operating systems.
  • Experience with CI build systems and automated testing.
  • Knowledge of cloud computing design and architecture principles.
  • Familiarity with infrastructure components like hypervisors and cloud storage, as well as experience with various cloud services, including databases, caching, object and block storage, scaling, load balancers, and networking.

Education

  • Tertiary qualification in in software engineering or computer Science (or other related discipline)
  • Typically requires 0-2 years of relevant experience

Job Summary The Core Software team is a high-performance engineering team responsible for building the fundamental software to manage the ONTAP software product. You will work as part of a team responsible for the development, testing and debugging of distributed software that drives NetApp cloud, hybrid-cloud and on-premise solutions. As a software engineer, you will work as part of a team of skilled and passionate engineers responsible for participating in the design, development, debugging, maintenance & testing. This position requires an individual to be creative, team-oriented, technology savvy, and driven to produce results. Responsibilities Work with a lead to deliver medium to large features, including participating in the full software development lifecycle. Deliver reliable, innovative storage and data management products. Design, implement and test software in Python with a focus on simplicity, reliability, and manageability. Participate in product design, development, verification, troubleshooting, and delivery of a system or major subsystems, including authoring project specifications.  Write unit and automated integration tests.    Job Requirements Software development experience (analysis, design, implementation, testing) Proficiency in C++ is must.
