Job Title:  Associate Engineer - Mechanical

What you’ll do:

As an Associate Engineer, the incumbent would be working on product or technology groups with design, development, testing or sustaining engineering responsibilities. They have to study, design, make changes to existing designs as per needs, Accumulate product/technology knowledge and assess systemic improvements & sustenance. Plan their activities to achieve project timelines and deliverables. These engineers would be working for varied projects at Eaton India Innovation Centre.

Perform engineering assignments, understand products & technologies, testing & specification of projects.
• Utilize DFSS concepts, DFMEA, Risk Management & DVPR for new product development &/or existing
product improvements.
• Execute proto-type build, performance / durability testing, teardown of proto-type samples to evaluate
product performance against customer requirements for concept level ideas as well as detailed design
before product launch
• Creates and sustains process for design standards and procedures governing product design methods,
documents and data control for the associated business group.
• Develop understanding of manufacturing processes to improve new and existing designs.
• Maintain credible communication practice with external customer on technical clarifications, testing &
resolving of field failures.
• Learning agility to understand & assimilate varied technologies & product knowledge.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering- Mechanical Engineering
  • 0-1 Years 

Skills:

  • CAD and design experience will be preferred (Creo and Solidworks)
  • Required: Clear Communication both written and spoken

What you’ll do: The primary responsibility of this role is to evaluate flow and thermal performance of products/subsystems/systems for various Eaton Mobility productlines. Incumbent is expected to perform Flow and Thermal analysis of various Eaton products for predicting product performance. Incumbent is also required to partner with global & local teams, understand the design intent, develop and validate analysis models to substantiate the engineering designs. The primary functions for this position include:   •    Collaborates with technology and product teams to define problem statements •    Understands project requirements and solves problems in discussion with local as well as global stakeholders •    Participates in development of simulation modeling methodologies in Flow and Thermal  domain •    Deploys developed simulation methodologies in Eaton products to strengthen “Analysis First” strategy"     "Coordinate with stakeholders to develop Flow and Thermal analysis requirements for wide range of Eaton products Interpret, summarize and communicate CFD analysis results to global audience and provide technical and/or design recommendations Contribute in maturing analysis capability of Flow and Thermal technology domain Develop test plan wherever necessary to verify CFD model and validate analysis approach in correlation with test outcomes"       Qualifications: Master’s degree in Mechanical / Aerospace/ Applied Mechanics/Ocean Engineering from reputed institute with Flow and Thermal as specialization 0-2 Years   Skills: Thorough knowledge of Fluid dynamics, Heat transfer & CFD theoretical fundamentals with ability to perform hand calculation, results interpretation and test data correlation with simulation Good communication skills, Effective collaboration with team members, Problem solving ability
