Program Background

Our Early Talent Program helps develop freshers into future leaders of Johnson Controls. This is an intensive, exciting program that allows you to fast track your growth and learning, while having fun at work.

As an Early Talent in Finance Rotational Program, you will rotate to new roles after a certain period of time, to gain an overall understanding of accounting and financial responsibilities within Johnson Controls. This will also help you get the right exposure to the various business models within the company.

Early Talents are challenged to take on additional work outside of their day–to-day responsibilities to gain further knowledge and increase their network within the company. Additional training, development and mentorship opportunities are consistently presented to Graduate / Post Graduate trainees, with the expectation that all opportunities will be well utilized.

What you will do

Below are some of the works our finance associates are involved in and that you could do too!

Finance Transformation

  • Provide support to regular project reporting assisting both the project controller and the Swiss finance leadership
  • Develop and refine project resource costing and reporting
  • Support the commercial partner Change Request administration and review process

Cash Management

  • Support Business Intelligence and Data Analytics team daily operations
  • Participate in reporting and data visualization
  • Carry out bad debt calculations, as well Accounts Receivable statistical calculations and reconciliation

Financial Compliance

  • Support processes to ensure effective financial controls are in place and are operating effectively
  • Participate in global and or regional projects and connect with management teams
  • Use analytical skills to support compliance reviews

What we look for

  • Graduate / Postgraduate in Commerce or MBA in Finance\
  • Proficiency Microsoft Office suite, especially in MS Excel
  • Strong interpersonal skills and decision–making abilities
  • Excellent Analytical skills
  • Effective and professional communication and organization skills

What this job involves: • Process various types of accounts payable transactions including data entry of vendor invoices, expense reports, manual and emergency check requests. • Responsible for preparing and posting month end close journal entries (accrual, prepayments, mortgage etc.) • Assist accountants and controllers with A/P issues or problems as they arise • Answer property inquiries via phone and e-mail • Responsible for posting accounting corrections/reclassifications entries to ensure accurate accounting records against the income and expenses accounts • Prepare monthly bank and mortgage reconciliation • Analysing cash/amount received in the bank deposits and made the application against the tenant accounts • Analyse and Research the history of tenant ledgers against the over/short payments. • Process weekly A/P for multiple properties ensuring that all deadlines are met • Understand and comply with all JLL A/P policies and procedures • Monitor and enforce compliance by all JLL employees involved in the A/P process (site and accounting personnel) in respect to standard A/P policies and procedures • Perform various other duties as assigned by a supervisor • Assist in training of new A/P employees as needed • Gather data on department’s processing metrics daily • Communication with internal and external customers and vendors as needed Sounds like you? You have 0-2 years of experience in compliance, risk management, or financial crime prevention, preferably within the financial services industry (Freshers are welcome to apply!) Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail. Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and concisely.
