The Team:
 

Within S&P Global’s Mobility division, the Supply Chain, Technology & Aftermarket team is responsible for building, maintaining, and evolving our insights and data assets that provide our client base with intelligence on these critical areas of the automotive value chain. Whilst the subject matter of the team straddles fifteen topical supply chain areas, this role will encompass conducting research and analysis to develop analytical dashboards that tracks automotive supplier activities and innovative startups globally.

Responsibilities:

Gain hands-on experience with our in-house data sources to collect and compile financial information such as funds raised, funding series, investor, partner and other related details for automotive startups.

Download and analyze patents from patent databases to identify technology trends and assess startup focus areas, contributing to a deeper understanding of the industry landscape.

Take initiative to learn about the automotive industry, technological trends, financial analysis and dashboard management, seeking opportunities for professional growth and contributing fresh perspectives to the team.

Work closely with senior team members to understand project requirements and deliverables, actively participating in team meetings and discussions.

Support the maintenance and enhancement of database containing intelligence on automotive startups and suppliers.

Implement rigorous data verification and quality control processes to ensure the reliability and integrity of data and information.

 

What We’re Looking for:

 

Basic Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree, preferably in economics, statistics, business, or marketing/MBA freshers from renowned institutions, who have demonstrated outstanding academic performance and a drive for success.

An engineering degree in Mechanical/Automotive is preferable but not essential.

Passion and knowledge of automotive and technology.

Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office, including expertise in Excel and PowerPoint.

Strong written and spoken English is a must.

 

Additional Preferred Qualifications:

Basics of database management tools such as SQL, Access, Knime, Alteryx helpful but not essential.

Knowledge of data analytics tools such as Tableau and Power BI helpful but not essential.

About the Role: Grade Level (for internal use): 05 The Role: S&P Global Commodity Insights is seeking candidates for our 12-months’ Apprenticeship program within our Data Quality Team. This role offers invaluable exposure to data management practices and provides a unique perspective on how data quality is maintained and enhanced throughout the data lifecycle. The Data Quality Apprentice will be responsible for supporting data quality initiatives within the Commodity Insights Technology & Data organization. This role will involve assisting in the monitoring and validation of data, identifying data discrepancies, and ensuring data integrity across various datasets. The Data Quality Apprentice will also contribute to the development and maintenance of data quality documentation, including data quality metrics, reports, and improvement plans.   The Team: As part of the Data Quality Team, which operates under the Data Strategy and Governance Tower, we are responsible for overseeing the quality and integrity of data across various systems within the Commodity Insights organization. This role involves coordinating data quality initiatives, prioritizing data validation tasks, ensuring alignment with data governance standards, and maximizing the value delivered through accurate and reliable data.   The Impact: S&P Global Commodity Insights creates over 10,000 daily assessments used for 1,500+ cleared financial instruments that transact in excess of $10 billion every day.
