The opportunity

EY established a Global Trade team to help clients manage export and import classifications, assist with Free Trade Agreements (“FTA”) solicitation and qualification analysis, identify other government agencies (“OGA”) requirements, and review client transactions.  The Global Trade team consists of a dedicated team of trained individuals responsible for analysing the technical characteristics of products and assigning proper export and import classifications, conducting analysis if products qualify for FTAs, identifying OGA requirements and screening client’s transactions against different lists of sanctioned parties. 

 

Our team is dedicated to providing excellent client service and accurate classifications with fast turnaround time.

 

Your key responsibilities

  • Drive classification process and review analyst’s deliverables
  • Provides technical assistance to team members performing classifications
  • Tracks deadlines and due dates for all requested classifications and works closely with Manager and team members to prioritize and meet time frames
  • Demonstrates an understanding of the client’s industry, classification needs and deadlines – works with team to meet deadlines with quality deliverables
  • Provide in-depth analysis of controversial cases
  • Builds strong relationship with all team members

  • Bachelor’s Degree or undergraduate degree in Electrical Engineering Or Mechanical Engineering or Aeronautical Engineering or Chemical Engineering

Your responsibilities will not only involve maintaining high levels of accuracy but also ensuring that our client's data is handled with utmost precision. Job Responsibilities: Validate, verify, and identify inaccuracies (~60%) in system-extracted client information against client-specific documents within the image processing platform. The role also requires manually inputting/keying (~40%) information from client documents. Include specific responsibilities such as reading detailed customer instructions, adhering to various processing requests (from simple to complex instructions) for validating, verifying, or inputting check and invoice information, and utilizing a strong eye for detail, decision-making, and data entry skills to meet stringent client deadlines.
