JOB EXPERIENCE FOR MAINFRAME DEVELOPER:

  • Development background in design, analysis and coding: COBOL (CICS), JCL, CICS, CA7 etc.
  • Quick starter to troubleshoot/resolve incidents and business support items
  • Prioritize Business Impact and Urgency
  • Perform application support tasks like: Systems support, Security reviews, & Maintenance tasks
  • Provide SLDC artifacts associated with application components
  • Participate in technical reviews at appropriate stages of development
  • Develop and execute unit test cases to validate that application changes meet technical specifications
  • Adhere to security and control, and change control processes
  • Support QA with integration testing bug fixes
  • Participate in production support/pager duty rotation including weekend and off-hour support coverage

 

SKILL REQUIREMENTS FOR MAINFRAME DEVELOPER:

  • COBOL (CICS), CA7, DB2 and/ or SQL, Other Mainframe Technologies & Tools
  • TSO and VSAM experience required
  • Familiarity with Job Scheduler preferred (e.g. CA7)
  • Knowledge on File Transmission - SFTP, NDM
