Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of experience in SoC Pre-Silicon power estimation/analysis/optimization.
  • Experience with Primepower PTPX or similar power estimation tools.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, Perl) and RTL level Power Estimation/Analysis tools.
  • Strong understanding of SoC Architecture, memory hierarchy, coherency, fabric interconnect protocols, clocking and power management
  • Strong understanding of SoC IP micro-architecture in one or more of the IPs such as CPU, GPU, Imaging, Display, Multimedia, DDR Memory Controller.
  • Strong expertise in low power RTL and physical design optimization techniques.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

  • Drive pre-silicon power estimation and analysis using power estimation tools both at RTL and Netlist level. 
  • Develop methodologies around power estimation tools and incorporate best practices to improve the power estimation fidelity.
  • Drive and Lead the Power estimation and what-if analysis for IP(s) and SubSystem(s) and drive closure of projections vs targets gaps.
  • Analyze power estimation reports to identify power-saving opportunities and influence both the physical design aspect and the u-arch design aspects of the design for power reduction.
  • Work with the Power modeling team to analyze the power impact of different IP/SS states w.r.t battery life.

What role you will play in our team   The Primary role/function of the position of cost engineer is to prepare and/or review and endorse cost estimates of different levels of accuracy depending on the maturity of the project definition during the various stages of the project lifecycle. The role involves developing multi-disciplinary conceptual and definitive cost estimates for a variety of projects. What you will do   Primary Job Functions:   Prepare multi-disciplinary cost estimates for a variety of medium and large projects using appropriate tools and systems. Discuss, coordinate, and resolve estimating input/queries with project team and subject matter experts available in the organization to ensure quality estimate. Ensure all assumptions / clarifications are properly documented. Provide support for any selection and optimization study during project development. Support project team in identification, evaluation and capture of capital efficiency opportunities and estimate risks. Perform cost reconciliation to previous estimates as project develops. Perform complete analysis and cost validations using internal and external benchmarking data, historical indices, and component benchmarking. Mentor & supports the review of the estimates prepared by other cost engineers to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with scope of work. Contribute to Lessons Learnt process throughout the project lifecycle. About you   Skills and Qualifications   Degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology or Construction Management from a recognized university 3 to 12 years of prior experience in EPC or Project Management in the Oil and Gas industry Minimum 3 years of experience in cost estimation or proposal execution Good to have: Experience in using cost estimation software such as Aspen CCE Good command of English both written and spoken Strong presentation skills in English and MS Excel Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to clearly and concisely convey recommendations to project team members and company leadership/management.
