Release Train Engineer in Scaled Agile Environment

We are looking for passionate colleagues who are experienced in coordinating multiple teams in a scaled Agile environment and would be interested in our Release Train Engineer position. Your journey will start in our configure, price and quote (CPQ) environment for Smart Infrastructure Electrification and Automation products. You will be coordinating the ART level ceremonies in a scaled context. Coaching Product Management and Product Owners as well as multiple Agile teams is daily business. If you are a responsible, careful organizer and facilitator of events with up to 100 people, synchronizing the teams and prepare for the next Planning Interval, we are looking for you!

As a Release Train Engineer your challenges will be:
• Guide, coach and motivate the assigned Agile teams on your Agile Release Train, spread across the globe
• Mainly work remotely with your team(s) with occasional travel opportunities
• Focus on the needs of the Scrum Masters and Product Owners / Product Management and enable them to provide value with the goal of achieving results in line with the organization’s values, principles, and business objectives
• Act as a change agent in the teams and the surrounding organization to proactively help changing culture and mindset
• Perform the role of a SAFe® Release Train Engineer by organizing and facilitating the ART-level sync events, engaging the relevant stakeholders.
• Facilitate collaboration across multiple teams and with the surrounding organization (Product Management, Business Owners and other stakeholders), including Feature slicing, prioritization and Story refinement
• Coach the teams in organizing and facilitating the Scrum ceremonies and contributing to the ART Level sync events (PI Planning)
• Coach the teams applying Lean, Agile, SAFe principles and practices, support the team as a servant leader to grow and to get better - lead by example.
• Remove impediments that are beyond the teams influence
• Protect the teams from outside interference
• Ensure that Scrum and other relevant methods are understood and executed properly
• Ensure governance, e.g. effort tracking within Sprints using Jira, documentation within Wiki (Confluence)
• Guide the Agile Release Train (ART) to develop metrics and estimates, and periodically evaluate the process to become better in making predictions and reducing risks.
• Participate in Communities of Practices (CoP) for Scrum Masters to share experience within the organization.
• To make a difference you must have:
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology or business information technology
• 4+ years of experience as a Scrum Master
• 1+ year of experience in a scaled agile environment and leading multiple teams
• Experience with the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe®)
• Extensive knowledge of agile principles and methods
• Strong collaboration and team development skills
• Strong communication, facilitation, coaching and mentoring skills
• Strong organizational capabilities
• Experience in working with virtual, globally distributed, multicultural teams remotely
• Written and spoken English on a proficient level is a must, additional language like German is a plus.
