Role: Quality Engineer

Roles & Responsibilities 

• Reviewing software requirements and preparing test scenarios.
• Executing tests on software usability.
• Analysing test results on database impacts, errors or bugs, and usability.
• Preparing reports on all aspects related to the software testing carried out and reporting to the design team.
• Interacting with clients to understand product requirements.
• Participating in design reviews and providing input on requirements, product design, and potential problems.

Required skills & Expertise:

• BE/BS/MCA in Computer Science or related field of study and 6 – 9 years of professional software testing experience.
• Experience with Web Services testing.
• Experience with testing REST API.
• Experience with web-based application testing using multiple browsers.
• Experience with test automation, preferably with frameworks such as TestNG and Selenium.
• Ability to identify, isolate and concisely document defects.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate efficiently with both local and remote co-workers.
• Expertise in estimating testing and automation costs accurately and delivering on schedule.
• Experience with agile engineering methodologies such as Scrum desired.
• Leading the testing efforts and act like a guardrail, to avoid defect leakage to production.

Ability to generate requirements, estimates and plan for projects.
