Job Description

***Oracle Database SME . *** Role Requirements • A high level of demonstrable technical expertise in the Oracle suite of products and Linux OS. • Full member of on-call out of hours support rota ensuring 24/7/365 operation of the Oracle Database Team. Minimum Criteria • Deep knowledge of Oracle products including Database, ASM, OKV, OEM, OAS, RMAN, RAC, DataGuard and GoldenGate, across development and operations as Primary Skill. • Good knowledge of Linux OS, preferably RedHat. • Experience of addressing obsolescence. • Automation tools e.g. Satellite, Ansible. • Security Processes e.g. Secure by Design, Early and Often, Server / application hardening. Desirable Criteria • Fluency in one or more programming and scripting languages, e.g. Python, Java, C#.Net, Go, Ruby, SQL, Bash. • Knowledge of automated testing practices, e.g. Test Driven Development (TDD), Behaviour Driven Development (BDD) and Acceptance Test Driven Development.
