Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day workshop operations, ensuring efficient, safe, and high-standard work completion.
  • Coordinate technicians, monitor workflow, and maximize workshop productivity.
  • Plan and control daily workshop activities and allocate work effectively to technicians.
  • Monitor repair progress, ensuring timely completion of jobs.
  • Maintain high standards of quality, safety, and compliance.
  • Liaise with customers, service advisors, and parts departments for smooth operations.
  • Support technicians with technical guidance and problem-solving.
  • Monitor workshop performance, productivity, and efficiency.
  • Ensure all repairs comply with Volvo Truck & Bus standards and manufacturer guidelines.

Requirements

  • Previous experience as a Workshop Controller, Senior Technician, or Workshop Supervisor in the commercial vehicle industry.
  • Strong knowledge of Volvo Truck & Bus products is highly desirable.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong customer service focus.
  • Computer literacy and experience with workshop management systems.
  • Full driving licence (HGV licence advantageous but not essential).

Desired Qualifications

  • Flexibility required for working hours beyond Monday to Friday/0800hrs to 1630hrs.
