The Technical Support Engineer will be responsible for the technical ownership and product support of liquid ring elements and systems, including standard and non-standard design, engineering change management, and ERP master data maintenance. This role requires a degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related science discipline, with experience in new product development and technical support, preferably in liquid ring technology.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical ownership and product support for liquid ring elements and systems.
- Manage standard and non-standard designs, including drawing/model creation and revision.
- Handle Engineering change management and ERP master data maintenance.
- Transfer technical specifications from customers to the non-standard order execution team.
- Perform customized design and provide key technical deliverables to project teams.
- Ensure efficient and professional output of engineering-related topics to supply chain, manufacturing, and aftermarket.
- Implement complex analysis, verification, and continuous improvement on products.
- Develop positive relationships and promote collaboration among multifunctional teams.
- Support and guide other departments in their technical needs.
- Ensure product portfolio meets legislative, industrial, and corporate standards.
- Ensure safe and effective operations in compliance with health and safety policies and regional laws.
Requirements
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Science discipline.
- Experience in new product development and technical support.
- Experience in liquid ring technology and/or other small clearance rotary machines is preferable.
- Experience in heat transfer and thermodynamics, rotating element bearings, lubrication systems, electric motors, gearboxes, small clearance mechanisms, vacuum technology.
- 2+ years of experience with rotating machinery; technical interpretation on pump mechanism is preferable.
- Fluent 3D model creation competence; experience with AutoDesk Inventor is preferable.
- Experience on complex skid design or rotary machine design is a plus.
- Knowledge on tolerance analysis and small clearance machines.
- Analytical mindset and good communication skills in an international environment.
- Teamplayer.
- Experience with cooperating in a decentralized organization working with different processes and development ways.
- Fluency in reading/written English, basic competence of communication with international English speakers.
