Lead end-to-end technical delivery of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Supply Chain Management projects, providing technical oversight and governance. Design scalable solutions, lead development activities using X++ and Azure services, and manage environments and deployments. Engage with stakeholders and support pre-sales efforts.

Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end technical delivery of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Supply Chain Management projects.
  • Provide technical oversight and governance across development, integrations, environments, and deployments.
  • Lead and mentor onshore and offshore development teams.
  • Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to development standards and best practices.
  • Review and approve technical designs, development estimates, and implementation approaches.
  • Drive technical quality, consistency, and delivery excellence across projects.
  • Design scalable, secure, and maintainable D365 F&SCM solutions.
  • Develop and review Technical Design Documents (TDDs), Solution Architecture Documents (SADs), and Integration Design Documents.
  • Define integration patterns, security architecture, deployment strategies, and extension frameworks.
  • Lead technical workshops and solution design sessions with customers.
  • Translate business requirements into technical solutions and implementation roadmaps.
  • Lead development activities involving X++ extensions and customizations, Chain of Command (CoC), event handlers, custom services, OData services, business events, Electronic Reporting (ER), SSRS reports, and workflows.
  • Ensure adherence to Microsoft's extension-first development model.
  • Assist in software configuration and customization to meet business process and application requirements.
  • Design and implement integrations between D365 F&SCM and external applications.
  • Architect integration design using Azure Logic Apps, Azure Functions, Azure Service Bus, Azure Data Factory, REST/SOAP APIs, Power Platform, Dataverse, and Dual Write.
  • Support data migration planning, strategy, execution, validation, and reconciliation activities.
  • Work alongside SA, Dev leads, data migration leads and functional teams to document migration requirements and solution approach.
  • Intricate knowledge of Lifecycle Services (LCS) environments and deployment activities.
  • Create CI/CD guidelines for D365 F&SCM implementation using Azure DevOps.
  • Understanding deployment and release automation.
  • Understanding of branching strategies and best practices and choosing the best strategy for the implementation projects.
  • Understanding system performance and help team troubleshoot/resolve production issues.
  • Engage directly with customer stakeholders and technical teams.
  • Provide project status updates, risk assessments, and mitigation plans.
  • Participate in requirements gathering, design reviews, technical workshops, and steering committee meetings.
  • Support project estimation, planning, and resource management.
  • Manage and deliver small projects independently with minimal supervision.
  • Support solution demonstrations and technical workshops.
  • Participate in RFP/RFI responses and proposal development.
  • Contribute to estimation, architecture reviews, and solution planning.
  • Provide technical leadership during discovery and envisioning phases.

Requirements

  • Strong experience in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Supply Chain Management, including development, extension framework, configuration touchpoints, and technical delivery.
  • Advanced X++ development, Chain of Command, event handlers, custom services, OData, business events, workflows, SSRS, ER, and DMF.
  • Azure Logic Apps, Azure Functions, Azure Service Bus, Azure Data Factory, REST/SOAP APIs, OAuth, API Management, Dataverse, and Dual Write.
  • LCS, Azure DevOps, Git/TFVC, CI/CD pipelines, branching strategies, build automation, release management, deployments, and environment refreshes, Unified Developer experience.
  • SQL Server, T-SQL, SSRS reports, performance optimization, monitoring, log analytics, Trace Parser, and troubleshooting.
  • Good understanding of Finance, Procurement & Sourcing, Inventory, Warehousing, Sales & Distribution, Manufacturing, and Supply Chain processes.
  • 12+ years of Microsoft Dynamics AX / D365 F&O / D365 F&SCM experience.
  • Experience as a technical architect on enterprise ERP implementations.
  • Experience working with global customers and distributed delivery teams.
  • Proven experience in architecture design, integrations, development, and deployment management.
  • Experience in upgrade projects from AX 2012 to D365 F&SCM is highly desirable.
  • Certification In Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance And Supply Chain Management Is Optional But Valuable.
  • Certification In Relevant Technologies Or Methodologies (E.G., Agile, Scrum) Is Also Considered Beneficial.

Desired Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 end-to-end D365 F&SCM implementation projects preferred.
  • Experience in AI enabling solutions like Copilot studio, M365 Copilot and GitHub Copilot desirable.

  • AZ-900 – Microsoft Azure Fundamentals
  • AZ-204 – Developing Solutions for Microsoft Azure
  • PL-900 – Microsoft Power Platform Fundamentals
  • AI-900 – Microsoft Azure AI Fundamentals (Preferred)
  • Strong leadership and mentoring capabilities.
