Saab Aerospace Systems is seeking an experienced Talent Acquisition Professional/Recruiter for their West Lafayette, IN facility. This on-site role involves full-cycle recruiting for a manufacturing environment, collaborating with HR teams, and managing staffing initiatives. Responsibilities
- Lead full cycle recruiting efforts, from sourcing to onboarding.
- Coordinate high-volume staffing for T7 assembly operation, including testing and interviews.
- Partner with hiring managers to define job requirements and sourcing plans.
- Develop and execute talent acquisition strategies.
- Build skilled talent pipelines.
- Represent Saab at career fairs and recruiting events.
- Coordinate participation in large career fairs.
- Monitor and report on applicant flow and talent pipeline.
- Facilitate management panel interviews and provide guidance on candidate selection.
- Guide hiring managers on Workday recruitment functionality and ensure compliance.
- Prepare salary analysis and extend offers.
- Manage preboarding and aspects of onboarding, including background checks and I-9 documentation.
- Process employment actions in HRIS (Workday).
- Deliver local orientation to new talent.
- Prepare and facilitate the Saab Summer Intern Program.
- Provide back-up support for other HR team members.
- Travel up to 15% of the time.
- Other projects and tasks as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, or a related field
- 2+ years of recruiting / staffing experience, preferably in a multi-shift manufacturing operation
- Working knowledge of HR Best Practices related to talent acquisition and employee lifecycle management
- Experience with HRIS and applicant tracking systems
- Ability to actively engage with candidates and newly hired talent, building and establishing relationships
- Strong professional communication, adaptability, and collaboration skills
- Demonstrated reliability and responsiveness to both applicants and internal customers
- Flexibility to work modified hours, on occasion, to provide HR support for the off-shift operations
- Must be a U.S. citizen, Permanent Resident (green card holder), or protected individual
- Must pass a pre-employment drug screen
