Ericsson is seeking an experienced System Architect for its CNS portfolio in Bangalore, India. The role involves driving the architecture of rApps, defining scalable cloud-native solutions, and collaborating with various teams to ensure technical leadership and platform evolution. Candidates should have a Bachelor's or Master's degree and 13+ years of experience in software/system development, cloud-native technologies, and telecom domains.

Responsibilities

  • Own and evolve the architecture of assigned rApps, including data flows, interfaces, deployment models, and integrations.
  • Lead technical studies, opportunity assessments, and architecture decisions across the entire product lifecycle.
  • Define and maintain architecture documentation, standards, and design guidelines aligned with SAN rApps architecture.
  • Ensure effective integration with EIC/EIAP platform capabilities.
  • Define and drive non-functional requirements such as scalability, reliability, performance, security, privacy, and maintainability.
  • Support High-Level and Low-Level Design activities and provide architectural guidance to development teams.
  • Identify technical risks, dependencies, and technical debt while driving mitigation plans.
  • Translate RAN automation use cases into scalable and production-ready software architectures.
  • Mentor and guide DevOps teams on architecture strategy, standards, and best practices.
  • Conduct architecture and design reviews to ensure quality and compliance with standards.
  • Collaborate with SRE teams to address complex technical issues and improve operational excellence.
  • Represent development teams in architecture forums and governance boards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Telecommunications, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, or a related field.
  • 13+ years of experience in software or system development, including significant experience in cloud-native and distributed system architecture.
  • Experience in Telecom, RAN, O-RAN, SMO, network automation, or related domains.
  • Proven success in Agile DevOps environments, including CI/CD, automated testing, and observability practices.
  • Experience driving architecture governance, technical debt management, and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Strong expertise in cloud-native technologies including Kubernetes, containers, microservices, service mesh, and API management.
  • Hands-on experience with Python and React development.
  • Understanding of RAN automation, Non-RT RIC concepts, and rApps ecosystems.
  • Experience designing highly available, scalable, observable, and secure systems.
  • Strong knowledge of security and privacy-by-design principles.

Desired Qualifications

  • Exposure to AI/ML-driven applications and data-centric architectures is an advantage.
  • Technical leadership ability and stakeholder management skills.
  • Excellent analytical, decision making and communication skills.
