Responsibilities
- Perform accounting and analysis for specific business verticals and functions.
- Manage daily operational accounting and execute month-end close activities.
- Drive efficiencies in business processes and guide business teams on accounting matters.
- Evaluate accounting positions for new projects and author technical position papers.
- Liaise with FP&A, project teams, tech teams, and Seattle stakeholders on operational challenges and new initiatives.
- Collaborate with the global accounting organization on process improvement and global accounting standard consistency.
- Coordinate with auditors for timely statutory and tax audits.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, statistics, or business, or Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of quantitative role experience.
- 3+ years of tax, finance, or related analytical field experience.
- 4+ years of Accounts Receivable or Account Payable experience.
- 4+ years of applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses.
- 4+ years of creating process improvements with automation and analysis.
- 4+ years of identifying, leading, and executing opportunities to improve, automate, standardize or simplify finance or business tools and processes.
- Six Sigma Black Belt certification.
- Experience with advanced use of SQL for data mining and business intelligence.
- Experience as a lean sensei, or experience working as a Quality Assurance Engineer.
- 5+ years of relevant experience in Big4 audit firms, multi-national corporate, or operational accounting.
- CA or CPA qualification is a must.
- Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with India and US teams.
- Understanding of US GAAP and Indian Accounting Standards.
- Ability to communicate frequently with external auditors and regulators.
- Self-starter, collaborative team-player, and excellent communicator.
Desired Qualifications
- MBA or CPA.
- Knowledge of Tableau.
- Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and financial systems (Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards).
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Solid organizational, risk assessment, and information technology aptitude.
- Prior working experience in Oracle modules and ability to carry out analytics.
- Prior experience managing relationships with Big4 auditors is an added advantage.
