Qualcomm is seeking a Sr Engineer-Product Debug Engineer in Hyderabad, India. This role involves investigating and troubleshooting system/software stability issues across various Qualcomm chipsets, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and representing the Product Debug team in critical engineering discussions.

Responsibilities

  • Drive and debug software stability metrics for Qualcomm SoCs (Mobile, Compute, Infra, XR, Auto, IOT, Wearables).
  • Investigate and troubleshoot system/software stability issues found in various Qualcomm chipsets covering multi-processor, multi-RTOS systems.
  • Investigate timing issues for RTOS applications and tune the system accordingly.
  • Collaborate with Hardware, development, test, and customer engineering teams to resolve stability issues.
  • Represent Product Debug team in chip bring-up, stability scrums, and feature design discussions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 2+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience.
  • Master's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 1+ year of Software Engineering or related work experience.
  • PhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.
  • 2+ years of academic or work experience with Programming Language such as C, C++, Java, Python, etc.
  • Proficiency in C programming.
  • Good understanding of Computer Architecture and Embedded systems concepts.
  • Knowledge of multi-processor, multi-threaded system, inter-process and inter-processor communication.
  • OS (High level OS and RTOS) concepts (Scheduling, Threads, Synchronization, Memory Management etc).
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to time-share and prioritize between multiple tasks.
  • Strong aptitude, quick learner, self-motivated, willing to explore and work across breadth of various technology areas.

Desired Qualifications

  • Familiarity with any Microprocessor or DSP or controllers & understanding assembly code is a big plus.
