Responsibilities
- Assist Service Department leadership in coordinating, developing, and managing assigned department personnel.
- Ensure quality controls are achieved and departmental targets are met.
- Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction through good communication and quality workmanship.
- Coordinate the work schedule of shop and/or field personnel.
- Oversee and ensure repairs are performed in a correct and efficient manner.
- Ensure safe working conditions and practices.
- Oversee service and repair work performed both in the shop and in the field.
- Assess repair needs according to the skills and abilities of available technicians.
- Ensure shop equipment and tools are properly utilized and maintained.
- Assist with repairs in shop and field when there is a backlog or during times of excess work.
- Troubleshoot all systems in all product lines accurately and in a timely manner.
- Responsible for DOT compliance.
Requirements
- Five to six years of experience in service or related field.
- High School diploma or GED.
- Knowledge of federal, state, and local safety regulations including OSHA and applicable safety regulations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Focused problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Able to climb ladders and stairs, access confined spaces, and crawl.
- Requires prolonged periods of sitting and/or standing and frequent stooping, bending, crouching, and overhead reaching, with occasional climbing of stairs and steps or stepladder.
- Requires occasional lifting, pulling, carrying, or pushing objects or materials over 50lbs; and may frequently lift, pull, carry, or push objects or materials up to 30lbs.
- Manual dexterity required for operating machinery and computers.
- Must be able to safely and properly handle pneumatic and electric tools.
Desired Qualifications
- Some college experience preferred.
- Prior experience in the construction industry highly preferred.
- When needed, able to work on heavy construction equipment.
- When needed, will operate a service truck in a safe and responsible manner.
- Able to work overtime when needed to complete an assigned task and is flexible to any assignment.
- May occasionally work around loud, noisy, and dusty equipment and environment.
