Atlas Copco Compressors LLC is seeking a remote Service Technician based near Santa Ana, CA, to perform maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of air compressors and related equipment. This role requires 1-2 years of technical experience, a customer-focused approach, and the ability to travel within a 1-2 hour radius. Attractive benefits and paid training are offered.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine preventive service, troubleshoot, and repair air compressors, air dryers, drains, controllers, and low-pressure blowers.
- Set, install, and pipe compressor systems.
- Learn advanced topics including VSD’s, refrigeration, industrial networks, remote monitoring, and air audits.
- Pressure wash and clean customer equipment pads, skids, coolers, concrete, and tanks.
- Communicate with customers and the Service Manager regarding services performed and repair options.
- Complete service-related documentation, including service reports, start-up forms, warranty forms, oil sample forms, and parts return documents.
- Attend training at Air Academy and train with Senior Service Technicians.
- Promote and practice proper safety procedures and correct use of personal protective equipment.
- Provide a high level of customer service and respond to customer needs.
- Participate in a rotating 24/7/365 on-call pool, including travel to customer locations, out-of-town, and overnight stays.
- Be subject to random drug testing.
Requirements
- 1-2 years of technical experience in the mechanical, maintenance, or electrical field.
- Experience with the maintenance, overhaul, and repair of industrial equipment, including electrical, hydraulics, and/or pneumatics is preferred.
- Experience in HVAC is a plus.
- Ability to work independently and complete tasks within assigned deadlines.
- Customer-focused attitude and ownership of meeting customer needs.
- Ability to use computers to complete work orders and order parts.
- Supply all basic required tools.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. on a regular basis and work in industrial environments with continuous walking, reaching, bending, and kneeling.
- Basic understanding of mechanics and electrical theory.
- A High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
- Certifications are a plus (e.g., EPA Certified).
- Valid driver's license and fluency in English.
- Reside within a reasonable commute (30 minutes to 1 hour) of the assigned territory.
- Ability to park a company-issued service vehicle at your residence without restrictions.
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with the maintenance, overhaul, and repair of a wide variety of industrial equipment, including electrical, hydraulics and/or pneumatics is preferred.
- Experience in HVAC is a plus.
- Certifications are a plus (EPA Certified).

- $34-$42 per hour salary, based on knowledge, skills, and experience.
- Salary is geographically adjusted.
- Overtime eligible, with overtime starting after 8 work hours in a day.
