Volvo Group is looking for a Senior Solution Consultant IT with 8-10+ years of SAP PLM consulting experience to optimize Product Lifecycle Management in automotive and manufacturing. The role involves leading SAP PLM design, configuration, testing, and deployment, integrating with SAP modules like MM, PP, SD, and QM, and collaborating with cross-functional teams in Bangalore.
Responsibilities
- Lead SAP PLM design, configuration, testing, and deployment activities.
- Translate business needs into functional specifications and drive workshops.
- Support end-to-end product development processes (BOM, document management, change management, variant configuration).
- Utilize the PLMSI component in S/4HANA to integrate external PLM data and ensure data quality.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve product data management and process efficiency.
- Integrate SAP PLM with modules such as MM, PP, SD, and QM.
- Support data migration, system enhancements, and production issue resolution.
- Create documentation, training material, and user guides.
- Mentor junior colleagues and contribute to knowledge sharing.
Requirements
- 8 to 10+ years of experience in SAP PLM consulting and/or implementation.
- Strong hands-on expertise in SAP PLM configuration and core processes (BOM, document management, change management, material master integration).
- Experience integrating SAP PLM with SAP modules such as MM, PP, SD, and QM.
- Experience in automotive and/or manufacturing environments.
- Ability to explain complex topics clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Structured, analytical, and comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Takes ownership, works independently when needed, and collaborates openly across teams and functions.
Desired Qualifications
- Knowledge of relevant standards and best practices in automotive and/or manufacturing environments is an advantage.
