Responsibilities
- Collaborates with stakeholders to determine user requirements.
- Drives identification of dependencies and development of design documents.
- Produces extensible and maintainable code, optimizing, debugging, refactoring, and reusing code.
- Leverages subject-matter expertise to drive project and release plans.
- Proactively seeks new knowledge and adapts to new trends and solutions to improve product availability, reliability, efficiency, observability, and performance.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 4+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python.
- OR equivalent experience.
- 4+ years of technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, TypeScript, or Python.
- OR equivalent experience.
- 4+ years of experience developing Operating System components.
- OR Windows applications.
- 2+ years of C++ development experience.
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with the latest advances in the Windows platform, cloud/client computing, and web UI development.
- Ability to contribute across a variety of codebases and technologies.
- Experience contributing to engineering systems, test infrastructure, and developer tools.
- Experience using telemetry and customer insights to learn from real-world usage and shape product evolution.
- Familiarity with purpose-built devices running streamlined versions of Windows.
Benefits
- The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $119,800 - $234,700 per year.
- For specific work locations in the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, the base pay range is USD $160,200 - $261,000 per year.
- Certain roles may be eligible for benefits and other compensation.
