The Senior ERP Specialist, also referred to as an ETL Developer, will be responsible for developing new features, refactoring legacy ETL code, and fixing bugs for the Business Intelligence and Analytics team. This role involves owning tasks throughout the software development lifecycle, including documentation, implementation, testing, and migration, with a focus on data mart design and development.
Responsibilities
- Develop new features/enhancements, refactor legacy ETL code, and fix bugs for the Business Intelligence and Analytics team.
- Own tasks through the entire software development lifecycle from concept to release, including documenting requirements, development approach, implementing code, testing, approvals, and migration.
- Develop code changes, unit tests, integration tests, and performance tests according to Google's standards and best practices.
- Develop code based on functional requirements from BRDs, FSDs, TDDs, or other instructions.
- Collaborate with Google business analysts, program managers, and other contractors to define functional and technical requirements.
- Own data integration delivery tasks from development through support, including documentation, implementation, testing, approvals, migration, and post-production support.
- Own report/dashboard delivery (PLX) tasks from development through support, including documentation, implementation, testing, approvals, migration, and post-production support/enhancement.
- Provide support for new and existing data models, ETL pipelines, and data marts.
- Create and maintain detailed documentation using Google Docs/Sheets/Slides for assigned design, development, and testing tasks.
- Leverage supply chain experience in the aforementioned areas.
Requirements
- Mandatory: Experience in delivering Business Intelligence solutions, preferably in multiple BI aspects.
- Mandatory: Strong SQL skills in complex queries and data manipulation.
- Mandatory: Experience in developing ETL/building data pipelines with ETL tools or programming languages.
- Experience in databridge.
- 5 or more years of experience in Data engineering projects.
- Experience with SQL or equivalent database querying language.
- Working knowledge of relational databases, including BigQuery, MySQL, and large-scale distributed systems.
- Analytical skills with experience identifying, quantifying, and raising business risks associated with data quality or non-compliance.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with the capability to execute with business stakeholders.
Desired Qualifications
- Python programming, shell scripting, Java scripting experience is a plus.
- Supply chain experience background in the mentioned areas is beneficial.
