The Senior Administrator will design, implement, and manage Microsoft Azure cloud infrastructure, focusing on IaaS and Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS). This role ensures the availability, performance, and security of cloud environments, managing virtual machines, networking, storage, and Kubernetes clusters while driving automation and operational excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and administer Microsoft Azure IaaS resources including Virtual Machines, Virtual Networks, Load Balancers, Availability Sets, Availability Zones, and Storage Accounts.
  • Deploy, configure, monitor, and maintain Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) clusters and containerized applications.
  • Implement cloud security controls including Azure RBAC, Azure Policy, NSGs, Microsoft Defender for Cloud, and identity management through Microsoft Entra ID (Azure Active Directory).
  • Perform infrastructure monitoring, performance tuning, capacity planning, and incident management.
  • Automate infrastructure provisioning and operational tasks using Azure CLI, PowerShell, ARM/Bicep templates, and Infrastructure-as-Code tools.
  • Support backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity solutions using Azure-native services.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex infrastructure, networking, container, and platform-related issues.
  • Ensure compliance with organizational security, governance, and operational standards.
  • Collaborate with DevOps and application teams to support CI/CD pipelines and cloud-native deployments.
  • Prepare technical documentation, operational procedures, and knowledge-transfer materials.

Requirements

  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Azure IaaS services.
  • Hands-on experience with Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) and container orchestration.
  • Expertise in Azure networking, security, monitoring, and governance.
  • Experience with automation and scripting using PowerShell, Azure CLI, Terraform, ARM, or Bicep.
  • Understanding of Linux and Windows administration in cloud environments.
  • Familiarity with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, Docker, and container technologies.
  • Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
