We are seeking a highly technical Security Cloud Solution Architect with extensive experience in Microsoft's security portfolio, including Sentinel, Defender for Cloud, XDR, Entra, Purview, and Security Copilot. The role involves leading security strategy, architecture, and modernization initiatives for enterprise clients, focusing on SIEM modernization, cloud security, and operational excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Lead security strategy, architecture, and modernization initiatives specializing in Microsoft Sentinel and Microsoft Defender for Cloud.
  • Architect, deploy, and operationalize Microsoft Sentinel, including workspace design, connectors, detection engineering, and automation.
  • Drive adoption of Defender CSPM and CWPP across various workloads, focusing on secure score, compliance, and risk reduction.
  • Lead SIEM modernization and migrations from third-party platforms to Microsoft Sentinel.
  • Secure and operationalize AI workloads using Security Copilot and other AI security tools.
  • Drive production adoption and operational excellence through technical consumption plans and health assessments.
  • Design end-to-end architectures integrating Sentinel and Defender for Cloud with other Microsoft security services.
  • Lead architecture workshops, design sessions, and proofs of concept for customers.
  • Escalate product gaps, influence roadmap direction, and develop reusable guidance.
  • Partner with account teams, specialists, and partners to deploy and operationalize solutions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Cybersecurity, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5+ years of relevant experience.
  • Proven hands-on experience designing, deploying, and operating Microsoft Sentinel in enterprise environments.
  • Proven experience leading enterprise SIEM modernization and migrations to Microsoft Sentinel.
  • Proven hands-on experience implementing Microsoft Defender for Cloud.
  • Strong experience securing Azure Landing Zones and enterprise-scale cloud environments.
  • Experience designing and securing Azure network architectures.
  • Experience working with large SOCs, GSOCs, MSSPs, or managed security operations organizations.
  • Broad expertise across the Microsoft Security portfolio (Defender XDR, Microsoft Entra, Microsoft Purview, Security Copilot).
  • Demonstrated success leading customer-facing engagements focused on SIEM transformation, cloud security, Zero Trust, and SOC modernization.
  • Strong knowledge of security operations disciplines.
  • Experience securing AI-enabled environments.
  • Strong automation and scripting skills using KQL, PowerShell, Python, Logic Apps, REST APIs, Microsoft Graph.
  • Working knowledge of industry security frameworks and standards (NIST, CIS, ISO 27001, PCI DSS).
  • Experience embedding security into DevSecOps, CI/CD practices.
  • SC-200: Microsoft Security Operations Analyst Associate certification.
  • AZ-500: Microsoft Azure Security Engineer Associate certification.

Desired Qualifications

  • SC-100: Microsoft Cybersecurity Architect Expert certification (Preferred).
  • SC-300: Microsoft Identity and Access Administrator Associate certification (Preferred).
  • SC-900: Microsoft Security, Compliance, and Identity Fundamentals certification (Preferred).
  • AI-900: Microsoft Azure AI Fundamentals certification (Preferred).
  • CISSP, CCSP, GIAC or equivalent industry certification (Preferred).
