Everyday Essentials (EE) is seeking a Software Development Engineer II to reinvent customer discovery and purchasing for a $100B+ business. This AI-first team focuses on building innovative shopping experiences, solving complex problems, and shipping solutions worldwide with high visibility. The role involves end-to-end software ownership, partnering with scientists and product managers, and driving operational excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and own software end to end — working backwards from the customer through design, code, testing, deployment, and operations.
  • Take on ambiguous problems where the goal is clear but the path is not, bring clarity, and deliver simple solutions to hard problems.
  • Partner closely with scientists, product managers, and designers to turn customer problems into products that ship worldwide.
  • Use AI tools and modern engineering practices to build faster and at a higher bar of quality, and help the team level up how it uses them.
  • Own operational excellence for what you build — monitor it, respond when issues arise, and keep improving the customer and partner experience.
  • Raise the technical bar through code reviews, mentoring, and hiring for the best talent.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
  • 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
  • Experience programming with at least one software programming language
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent

Desired Qualifications

  • 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
