Responsibilities
- Approach customers, understand their needs, and recommend suitable home furnishing solutions.
- Actively sell the IKEA range and promote services to enhance the customer experience.
- Keep your area clean, well-stocked, organised, and correctly priced.
- Maintain and refresh displays through basic visual merchandising and stock condensing.
- Replenish stock and prepare sales spaces using safe manual handling techniques.
- Assemble products to ensure strong presentation and functionality.
- Use IKEA systems to provide accurate product information and support order placement.
- Work collaboratively with your team and other departments to deliver great results.
Requirements
- A warm, approachable, and confident communication style.
- A strong work ethic with the ability to take initiative and work independently.
- A collaborative mindset and enjoy working as part of a team.
- Good organisation skills and attention to detail.
- Comfort with physical work, including manual handling and maintaining displays.
- A genuine interest in home furnishings and creating exceptional customer experiences.
- Availability to work 3 out of every 4 weekends, including both Saturday and Sunday.
- Permanent, Part-Time (60 hours/fortnight).
Desired Qualifications
- Previous experience in retail, customer service, or showroom sales.
- Experience working in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.
- Confidence in supporting sales objectives and contributing to the achievement of targets and KPIs.
Benefits
- $29.65 per hour base rate (Monday to Friday, 7:00am to 6:00pm).
- $44.49 per hour Sunday rate (9:00am to 11:00pm), plus above-award pay and applicable penalty rates, including weekends and public holidays.
