Emerson seeks a Resident MES Engineer to offer installation, commissioning, and technical support for MES systems at a customer site in the Udine area. Responsibilities

  • Support and take ownership of selected areas of the overall MES solution.
  • Assist in the design, implementation, and testing of complex MES (Syncade) solutions.
  • Contribute to functional design development and create detailed design and test documentation.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to process systems, providing timely technical support.
  • Configure and manage applications, ensuring compliance with Emerson quality standards.
  • Communicate effectively with the Lead Engineer and team members.
  • Deliver emergency call-out services when required.
  • Provide customer training and mentorship.
  • Adhere to Emerson’s and customer HSEQ standards and Trade Compliance procedures.

Requirements

  • Technical background in engineering disciplines (mechanical, electrical, computer science, or control systems) at a minimum technical college level.
  • Knowledge of MES systems, preferably Syncade.
  • Experience in process industries such as biotechnology, pharmaceutical, chemical, or oil & gas.
  • Strong communication skills in Italian and English, both written and spoken.
  • Familiarity with Distributed Control Systems (preferably DeltaV), process automation instrumentation, networking, and Windows platforms.
  • Willingness to work non-office hours and perform call-out services when needed.
  • A valid driving license.

Desired Qualifications

  • Syncade certification in multiple modules.
  • Experience integrating MES with systems such as LIMS or ERP.
  • Previous involvement in validated environments and documentation standards.
  • Ability to work offshore if required.
