We are seeking a Project Engineer in Shanghai to manage projects within the agreed margin, delivery time, and quality, while maintaining good customer relations and developing new product localizations. The role involves managing FCM/HSS module projects for ship new building applications, coordinating with internal and external stakeholders, and ensuring project delivery according to specifications.
Responsibilities
- Manage projects of standard and non-standard FCM/HSS module area for ship new building application.
- Issue PR for module components and create Approval/Working drawings (mechanical + electrical).
- Control project margin within budget.
- Communicate with internal/external customers to coordinate project issues.
- Provide feedback to Product Manager on FCM/HSS product improvement.
- Communicate with CLASS about module drawings and site inspection.
- Deliver the project on specification, on time, and on cost.
- Support claim handling and sales with drawings and quotations.
- Clarify technical aspects with the Central product center for customized modules.
- Standardize module workshop manufacturing technology.
Requirements
- Bachelor degree in mechanical or electrical engineering, or marine engine (a plus).
- Background and insight in Marine product; knowledge of Alfa Laval product is a plus.
- Experience of module design/manufacturing is a plus.
- Familiar with marine Class regulation.
- Project management experience.
- Quality sense.
- 6+ years of working experience, with experience in Marine being a plus.
- Experience in coordination & planning projects.
- Problem solving and target oriented skills.
- Leadership and project management skills.
- Good communication, negotiation skills.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Fluent written and spoken English.
- Project engineering experience.
- Learning ability.
- Cross-culture awareness.
Desired Qualifications
- Marine engine background is a plus.
- Knowledge of Alfa Laval product is a plus.
- Experience of module design/manufacturing is a plus.
- Experience in Marine industry is a plus.
