Responsibilities

  • Operate and monitor automated and semi-automated Press Line equipment.
  • Perform advanced machine setup, changeovers, and calibrations.
  • Troubleshoot complex mechanical, electrical, and process-related issues.
  • Lead quality assurance efforts to ensure products meet all specifications.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.
  • Train, coach, and mentor lower-level operators.
  • Review production documentation and ensure accurate completion of logs.
  • Enforce safety policies and participate in safety audits.
  • Collaborate with engineering, quality, and supervision teams on projects.
  • Serve as acting lead or backup supervisor when assigned.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 5+ years of manufacturing experience.
  • Significant experience operating Press Line or similar production equipment.
  • Advanced knowledge of manufacturing processes, quality systems, and safety standards.
  • Proven ability to diagnose and resolve complex equipment and process issues.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Basic computer skills (production systems, data entry, email).
  • Lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement training.
  • Forklift or industrial equipment certification.
