Alfa Laval is seeking a Manufacturing Operations Engineer with a Bachelor's degree in Engineering and at least 5 years of experience in manufacturing, quality, and planning. This full-time, on-site role in Pune involves becoming a D365 expert for the factory's manufacturing function, driving data cleansing, and supporting users post-go-live.
Responsibilities
- Become the factory's expert in D365 for Manufacturing.
- Understand and ensure local processes fit global processes.
- Be hands-on in site roll-outs and train local users.
- Drive local data cleansing in the legacy system (Movex).
- Extract and ensure coherence of data extracts.
- Coordinate track activities across sites after go-live.
- Govern and implement new processes.
- Act as a super-user and point of contact.
- Own business/delivery process scenarios for the track.
- Test solutions and ensure they are acceptable.
- Secure that locally owned gaps are closed.
- Support end-users in change management.
- Realize process/function benefits post roll-out.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering.
- 5+ years of experience in Manufacturing, Quality, and Planning functions.
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing, quality, planning processes, methodologies, and tools.
- Digitally proficient and comfortable working with IT systems.
- Confident communicator skilled in training local staff effectively.
- Stakeholder Management & Project Coordination skills.
- Knowledge of ALPS.
- Deep understanding of business processes and best practices in the functional area.
- Ability to train and guide others and bridge gaps between D365 experts and end-users.
- Ability to advocate for D365, influence colleagues, analyze problems, and propose solutions.
- Proficiency in using D365 and IT proficiency.
- Desire for continuous improvement of the solution locally.
- Attention to detail for configuring system settings, defining security roles, and testing functionality.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience and understanding of driving and managing organizational change related to IT transformation.
Desired Qualifications
- Awareness or exposure to D 365 or any other ERP implementation is preferred.
- Exposure to small/medium/large scale program implementation is preferred.
