ASSA ABLOY is hiring a Manager Procurement - Commercial in Mumbai to oversee material planning, ordering, and inventory management within the Supply Chain vertical. This role requires close collaboration with sales and logistics teams to ensure material availability, meet savings targets, and manage supplier performance.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for material order planning as per the Sales plan
  • Responsible for placing orders to factories as per the planned orders
  • Work closely with the Sales team to understand market demand and ensure material availability
  • Manage overall inventory levels considering Sales plan, existing inventory, and new material ordering
  • Ensure timely delivery of material from factories by working closely with the Logistics team and maintaining supplier performance
  • Ensure saving targets are met and improve sourcing efficiency
  • Work closely with the Sales team to liquidate existing inventory by suggesting equivalent products from stock against Sales orders
  • Ensure Material Through Put Targets are met
  • Day-to-day follow-ups with suppliers to balance and maintain supply and demand

Requirements

  • Graduate degree preferably in a technical stream/engineering
  • Postgraduate degree in supply chain operations management
  • Minimum 07-10 years of previous total experience
  • Exposure to building material or consumer goods industry is preferable
  • Sourcing background with exposure to Chinese suppliers is an added advantage
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and PowerPoint
  • Knowledge of Data Analytics for sales analysis and forecasts
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Problem solving skills
  • High level of integrity and ownership of responsibilities
  • High drive for results and execution excellence
