ABB is seeking a Machine Operator in Beijing, China for a full-time, on-site position. You will operate process equipment to convert raw materials into components or finished parts, ensuring quality and adhering to safety guidelines. Responsibilities include machinery set-up, adjustments, routine maintenance, and record-keeping.

Responsibilities

  • Operate process equipment or machinery to convert raw materials or semi-finished parts into components or finished parts.
  • Execute assigned tasks according to agreed workflows and in accordance with ABB standard processes and safety guidelines.
  • Operate machines in accordance with the operating manual, work schedule, and/or production order instructions.
  • Perform routine machinery set-up, adjustments, and repairing and fitting simple replacement parts.
  • Ensure regular standard maintenance of the equipment, tools set-up, programming activities, and troubleshooting and reporting issues.
  • Maintain detailed records of machinery set-ups, repairs, and maintenance activities.
  • Keep track of approved, defective units, and final products.

Requirements

  • Possess enhanced knowledge of or be highly adept in specialized software/platforms.
  • Communicate effectively in the required language.
  • Hold current required licenses valid in the job location and country-specific VISA/work permit where required.

  • Highly skilled in relevant tools and methodologies and the relevant industry/sector market.
