Responsibilities
- Supply or hold materials or tools
- Clean work area and equipment
- Operate machinery used in the production process
- Examine products to verify conformance to quality standards
- Observe equipment operations to detect malfunctions and notify operators
- Lift raw materials, finished products, and packed items
- Count finished products to determine if product orders are complete
- Mark or tag identification on parts
- Load and unload items from machines, conveyors, and conveyances
- Help production workers by performing duties of lesser skill
- Clean and lubricate equipment
- Record information such as the number of products inspected, and dates and times of product production
- Perform other assigned tasks at the direction of supervision
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED certificate and/or industrial experience
- Mechanical ability
- Ability to read various dimensional mythology instruments
- Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, and quality control
Desired Qualifications
- Experience operating forklifts, hammers, hoists, jacks, ladders, screwdrivers, slings, tape measures, and variety of hand tools, measuring instruments, power tools such as saws
- Familiarity with mechanical machines, paint systems, and assembly operations
