Ericsson is seeking an AI-Native Development Intern to join their Router 6000 NT&CI team in Beijing. The intern will help build AI agents, automation tools, and intelligent workflows to enhance software quality and delivery efficiency. This role is ideal for students pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field with an interest in AI technologies.

Responsibilities

  • Build AI agents and multi-agent workflows for quality engineering, CI/CD, release governance, and software delivery.
  • Develop web tools, dashboards, APIs, and reusable toolchains for engineering productivity.
  • Integrate AI models, enterprise knowledge bases, and automation platforms.
  • Explore and prototype technologies such as LLM applications, RAG, knowledge graphs, AI-assisted software engineering, and agentic workflows.
  • Gain hands-on experience in AI agent development, AI-native quality engineering, multi-agent orchestration, digital workforce platforms, and autonomous delivery systems.
  • Contribute to real AI transformation initiatives within Ericsson’s software development and delivery process.

Requirements

  • Current Bachelor’s or Master’s student in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Telecommunications, Electronic Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, or a related field.
  • Interest or project experience in AI agents, LLMs, RAG, prompt engineering, machine learning, knowledge bases, or frameworks such as LangChain, Semantic Kernel, AutoGen, or CrewAI.
  • Strong analytical, communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills, with curiosity and a willingness to learn.
  • Available full-time or at least 3 days per week; an internship of 6 months or longer is preferred, able to obtain university approval where required.

Desired Qualifications

  • Networking knowledge (TCP/IP, routing and switching, cloud networking, SDN, or network automation) is a plus.
  • Projects, research, competitions, or open-source contributions in AI, software engineering, automation, or DevOps are a strong advantage.
  • This role is a strong fit for students aspiring to become AI Engineers, Agent Developers, DevOps or Platform Engineers, Quality Intelligence Engineers, or AI-Native Software Engineers.
