Responsibilities
- Design, configure, and test SCADA/HMI systems using platforms like Movicon, CIMPLICITY, and iFIX.
- Develop and maintain reporting systems using SQL and scripting tools.
- Configure and test communication protocols such as Modbus, OPC, and Ethernet-based systems.
- Develop PLC programs using structured logic, function block diagrams, or ladder logic.
- Collaborate with electrical and instrumentation teams for integration.
- Prepare and maintain technical documentation including design specifications, control logic, and test reports.
- Perform system simulations, identify faults, and recommend solutions.
- Support customer engagement through demonstrations and technical discussions.
- Work with PLC/SCADA platforms such as ABB, Siemens, Allen-Bradley, and Schneider.
- Contribute to testing setups and identify opportunities for quality and efficiency improvement.
- Share knowledge and best practices within the team.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, or equivalent experience, in Instrumentation, Electronics, or a related field.
- Hands-on experience with SCADA, PLC, and HMI systems.
- Understanding of industrial communication protocols and automation systems.
- Ability to manage tasks independently while meeting timelines and quality expectations.
- Strong communication skills in English (written and verbal).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools.
Desired Qualifications
- Experience working with metering systems (liquid or gas), including custody transfer applications.
- Familiarity with flow computers such as S600+, OMNI, or equivalents.
- Knowledge of metering standards such as AGA-7, AGA-8, or API.
- Experience with batching systems and loading/unloading controllers.
- Exposure to database management and scripting for SCADA systems.
- Understanding of liquid proving, gas meter verification, and related processes.
- Ability to contribute ideas for improving testing processes and system design.
