Responsibilities
- Lead projects from RFQ to pre-serial delivery phase.
- Prepare and launch Requests for Quotation (RFQs) to suppliers.
- Lead projects from RFQ to supplier award with sound contractual & commercial negotiation.
- Lead product development activities with suppliers.
- Manage Purchase Orders (PO) capturing design changes/cost impacts.
- Drive negotiations during tender phases.
- Lead Planning & Savings reviews.
- Support and deploy the defined commodity strategy.
- Manage relationships with a global panel of suppliers.
- Support projects and site buyers worldwide.
- Coordinate sourcing activities with local and cross-functional teams.
- Monitor day-to-day supplier performance and mitigate issues proactively.
- Consolidate commodity needs and build a strong database.
- Apply the Alstom procurement process and provide return on experience.
Requirements
- Business school or Engineering degree (MASTER in purchasing is a plus).
- Minimum 4 years sourcing experience as a buyer.
- Experience or understanding of strategic sourcing processes and supplier management.
- Familiarity with project management and contract negotiations.
- Ability to work in a multicultural environment and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Analytical mindset and ability to solve complex problems.
- Negotiation skills on price and contractual clauses.
- Fluent in English & international background.
- Willingness & curiosity to learn.
