Tetra Pak seeks an Automation Engineer in Hohhot, China to design electrical schematics, develop PLC and computer applications using various automation software platforms, and maintain intelligent manufacturing systems. Responsibilities include industrial data acquisition, on-site debugging, process optimization, and providing technical support for projects and sales teams.

Responsibilities

  • Perform electrical schematic design, hardware layout design, and component selection.
  • Develop PLC programs and upper-level computer applications using Siemens TIA Portal, Step7, Wonderware InTouch, and Rockwell Studio 5000.
  • Develop and maintain automation systems and intelligent manufacturing software platforms.
  • Develop industrial data acquisition and interface services using Python, databases, and related technologies.
  • Participate in on-site debugging and troubleshooting of automation systems.
  • Optimize automation processes and develop data processing tools.
  • Provide technical support for workshop and customer site projects.
  • Provide remote technical support to field service engineers.
  • Prepare technical documentation, including API, database, deployment, and user manuals.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or above in Automation, Electrical Automation, Mechatronics, Computer Science, Electronic Information Engineering, or related engineering disciplines.
  • Experience in automation systems, industrial digitalization platforms, or business system development.
  • Proficient in one or more programming languages such as Python, C/C++, C#, Java.
  • Experience in web backend development with frameworks like Flask or Django, and RESTful API design/development/integration.
  • Familiar with API management platform technologies.
  • Experience in developing user management platforms or permission management systems.
  • Proficient in SQL and experienced with databases like MySQL, SQL Server, PostgreSQL.
  • Experience in data acquisition, data cleaning, data transformation, and ETL process development.
  • Good understanding of automation control systems, including PLC systems and industrial control systems.
  • Proficient in Linux systems, server deployment, network fundamentals, and Docker technologies.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Engineering project experience in intelligent manufacturing, Industrial Internet, digital factories, or manufacturing management systems.
  • CET-4 or above, with good English communication skills.
  • Proficient computer office skills.
