Alfa Laval seeks a motivated Field Service Engineer for their Jubail, Saudi Arabia operations. The role involves performing installation, commissioning, repair, and maintenance of equipment like separators and heat exchangers, providing on-site technical support, and reporting on activities. The ideal candidate has an engineering background with 2-5 years of relevant field service experience.
Responsibilities
- Perform installation, commissioning, inspection, repair, audits, and maintenance of high-speed separators and decanters, and plate heat exchangers.
- Troubleshoot Electrical/PLC controls and train customer personnel.
- Provide on-site technical support and maintenance services.
- Execute audits and maintenance related to service agreements.
- Prepare service reports, document visits, observations, recommendations, and commitments.
- Adhere to all company safety (QHSE), quality, and operational procedures.
- Effectively use AL system tools (OneService, Lead app, HSE Near miss app, E-Learning portal, Workday, Sensei IB).
- Generate service business leads using the FSE Lead app.
- Report Near Misses using the HSE digital platform.
- Submit service reports, expense reports, payroll, and customer signed timesheets.
- Support sales functions with technical solutions and participate in technical forums.
Requirements
- Engineering background (Electrical, Automation, or Mechanical), with electrical background preferred.
- Minimum 2-5 years of field service experience in Electrical/Mechanical equipment, heat exchangers, decanters, or high-speed separators.
- Field service experience in Saudi Arabia or GCC is preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and digital reporting.
- Good communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to express ideas effectively.
- Valid driving license; Saudi Arabian or GCC license preferred.
- Must be collaborative, customer-focused, organized, self-motivated, and results-oriented.
- Must be flexible and willing to undertake long-term national and international assignments, including overtime and responding to short notice assignments.
- Must be self-reliant, resilient, adaptable, independent, and robust, capable of performing effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment with extensive travel.
Desired Qualifications
- Process control instrumentation understanding.
- Knowledge of software programmed and industrial networking is an advantage.
