Emerson is seeking an Engineering Support Assistant in Austin, TX, for a hybrid role. This position supports Project Managers with deadlines, logistics, and BOM management, requiring strong organizational skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office. Responsibilities

  • Assist the Project Manager in achieving project deadlines and milestones.
  • Communicate with the entire project team to facilitate project goals and initiatives.
  • Identify procurement needs and mitigate risks such as lead times and part availability.
  • Create new part numbers and symbols for use in designs and maintain the Bill of Materials (BOM) for products in NI’s PLM.
  • Manage project logistics and maintain accuracy and timeliness of manufacturing jobs.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure deliverables are completed on time.
  • Follow up and track results of all assigned tasks.

  • Thorough competence with Microsoft Office suite
  • High School diploma (or GED equivalent)

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience supporting engineering groups in a corporate environment
  • Experience using Agile and Oracle
