This full-time role involves supporting the Manager Supplier Development in building a competitive and sustainable supplier base, managing supplier relationships, monitoring performance, and participating in sourcing projects. Responsibilities
- Manage supplier relationships and build a network of performance-driven suppliers.
- Monitor supplier compliance and KPIs regarding safety, quality, delivery, and cost.
- Support global category management in deploying supplier strategies in the region.
- Scout for potential new suppliers based on category gaps.
- Support resolution of identified deviations in supplier performance.
- Monitor supplier capacity to identify potential future bottlenecks and take action.
- Explore local supplier base in collaboration with commodity teams.
- Participate in new product development and localization sourcing projects.
- Ensure timely execution of major project milestones and overall timelines.
- Collaborate with the regional quality team to secure right-first-time test samples.
- Prepare monthly regional sourcing scorecards.
- Track key raw material trends.
- Ensure suppliers deliver goods on time with agreed lead times.
- Manage open purchase orders.
- Coordinate with logistics partners for seamless shipment execution.
- Act as a bridge between procurement, suppliers, and logistics teams to optimize supply chain performance.
Requirements
- BE Mechanical or Production Engineering.
- 3-4 years of experience in sourcing engineering components.
- Basic project management skills.
- Basic negotiation skills.
- Experience from PPAP.
- Willingness to travel domestically.
