Emerson is seeking a Software Test Engineer in Pune, India. This on-site, full-time role involves testing desktop applications and connected devices, designing test strategies, and performing manual and automated testing using tools like Ranorex and Python. You will also work with CI/CD pipelines and participate in Agile ceremonies.
Responsibilities
- Test and validate desktop applications and connected device ecosystems.
- Analyze requirements and design specifications to identify test scenarios and quality risks.
- Design, develop, and maintain test strategies, plans, cases, data, and reports.
- Perform manual and automated testing of desktop applications using Ranorex, Python, or equivalent tools.
- Execute various types of testing including integration, system, regression, and UAT.
- Identify, track, and manage defects throughout the SDLC/STLC.
- Develop, maintain, and integrate automated test suites within CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps or Jenkins.
- Validate application functionality, usability, reliability, performance, and security.
- Participate actively in Agile/Scrum ceremonies.
- Support release validation activities and ensure high-quality software delivery.
Requirements
- B.E/B. Tech or M. Tech in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics, Instrumentation, or a related Engineering discipline.
- Demonstrated ability in Software testing.
- Very strong experience in automation testing.
- 3-5 years of experience in Software Testing with strong hands-on experience in Test Automation.
- Strong experience in testing Desktop Applications.
- Hands-on experience with Ranorex or similar automation tools.
- Experience in python, C#, or other programming/scripting languages.
- Experience with defect tracking and test management tools.
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools such as Azure DevOps or Jenkins.
- Understanding of SDLC, STLC, and Agile development methodologies.
Desired Qualifications
- Familiarity with DevOps and test automation best practices.
- ISTQB certification
