In short

Seeking an experienced ASIC Chief Architect to lead the definition and architecture of next-generation SoCs and ASIC platforms for high-performance compute, 6G communications, AI, networking, and embedded systems. The role requires deep expertise in DSP, CPU, GPU, and system architecture, with a strong ability to lead teams and drive technical decisions from concept to production.

Responsibilities

  • Define the end-to-end architecture of complex ASIC/SoC products from concept to production.
  • Lead system architecture across compute, memory, networking, security, and acceleration subsystems.
  • Drive architectural decisions involving DSP architectures, CPU and GPU architectures, AI/ML acceleration, packet processing and networking engines, memory hierarchy and DDR subsystems, and NoC (Network-on-Chip) and interconnect architecture.
  • Develop performance, power, area (PPA), and cost optimization strategies.
  • Analyze workloads and define hardware acceleration opportunities.
  • Lead architectural modeling, performance simulation, and capacity planning.
  • Drive hardware/software co-design and system partitioning decisions.
  • Work closely with ASIC design, verification, physical design, firmware, and software teams.
  • Define technology roadmaps and influence long-term architectural strategy.
  • Review and mentor architecture teams and serve as the company's top technical authority in system architecture.

Requirements

  • MS or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
  • 12+ years of experience in semiconductor, ASIC, SoC, or processor architecture.
  • Proven experience leading the architecture and development of complex silicon products from concept through production.
  • Deep expertise in DSP architectures and signal-processing systems, CPU architectures (ARM, RISC-V, x86 or similar), GPU and parallel processing architectures, hardware accelerators and heterogeneous computing, and high-performance SoC design.
  • Strong understanding of DDR4/DDR5, LPDDR, HBM, memory controllers, cache architectures, packet processing and networking systems, network processors, switching, routing, and traffic management, PCIe, Ethernet, CXL, UCIe and other high-speed interfaces, NoC and chiplet architectures, and power management and performance optimization.
  • Experience with system modeling and architectural simulations, performance analysis and workload characterization, HW/SW co-optimization, and ASIC design flows and silicon bring-up.

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience with wireless communications, modem, networking, AI, or datacenter silicon.
  • Track record of delivering high-volume commercial ASICs.
  • Experience managing and mentoring senior architects and technical leaders.
  • Strong patent portfolio and/or industry-recognized technical contributions.
  • Ability to communicate architectural vision to execut.
