Qualcomm is seeking a Senior Engineer to work on next-generation smart devices, focusing on software builds, integration, and workflow automation. Responsibilities include developing platform software across Linux/Android, debugging complex issues, and optimizing system behavior.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and integrate platform software across Linux/Android, firmware, middleware, and subsystem interfaces.
  • Support platform bring-up, feature enablement, and software readiness for new silicon programs.
  • Debug and resolve complex issues spanning hardware, firmware, kernel, middleware, and applications.
  • Analyze and optimize system behavior across power, performance, memory, thermal, and reliability dimensions.
  • Diagnose issues involving CPU, DSP, GPU, memory, storage, clocks, regulators, and connectivity subsystems.
  • Drive customer issue investigations and product defect resolution.
  • Contribute to automation, observability, and engineering productivity initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 2+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience.
  • OR Master's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 1+ year of Software Engineering or related work experience.
  • OR PhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.
  • 2+ years of academic or work experience with Programming Language such as C, C++, Java, Python, etc.
  • Experience in embedded software development, system integration, Linux, Android, and/or RTOS platforms.
  • Familiarity with multimedia and/or connectivity technologies.
  • Strong analytical, debugging, and troubleshooting skills with the ability to independently resolve complex technical problems.
  • Self-motivated, adaptable, and capable of contributing across multiple technologies and engineering domains.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience in embedded software development, system integration, Linux, Android, and/or RTOS platforms.
  • Familiarity with multimedia and/or connectivity technologies.
  • Strong analytical, debugging, and troubleshooting skills with the ability to independently resolve complex technical problems.
