Responsibilities
- Develop real-time embedded software for controller products.
- Collaborate with global Scrum teams.
- Participate in all phases of software development.
- Build and test products using Agile practices and Continuous Integration.
- Break down problems and estimate development tasks.
- Work with multi-functional teams (Software, Hardware, System Test, Product Management).
- Develop domain expertise in control system platforms.
- Assist team members through pair programming and code reviews.
- Ensure premier quality in product development and support.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electronics & Communication Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related discipline.
- 4–6 years of experience in Embedded Software/Firmware Development on Intel x86 and ARM-based processors/controllers.
- Strong proficiency in C and C++ programming for high-performance, reliable, and safety-critical embedded software.
- Experience in real-time embedded software design using multi-threaded/multi-process architectures under VxWorks or other commercial RTOS.
- Expertise in debugging and performance analysis of real-time systems using Wind River Workbench, GDB, JTAG, trace tools, memory analyzers, and RTOS utilities.
- Good understanding and implementation experience of industrial communication protocols (Modbus TCP/RTU, PROFINET, PROFIBUS, DNP3).
- Experience integrating and validating industrial communication protocol stacks into firmware and control applications.
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, UDP, and cybersecurity for industrial control systems.
- Experience in embedded board bring-up, hardware-software integration, and troubleshooting using Oscilloscopes, Logic Analyzers, Protocol Analyzers, JTAG/Boundary Scan Tools.
- Ability to read and interpret hardware schematics, processor datasheets, memory maps, and peripheral specifications.
- Experience with software development lifecycle practices including Agile/Scrum, CI/CD, and Version Control Systems (Git, SVN).
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for cross-functional team collaboration.
- Self-driven, highly organized, with a demonstrated capability to identify technical challenges, propose solutions, and drive implementation.
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with Programmable Logic Controllers.
- Firmware development experience with Xilinx's Ultrascale SOC is an added advantage.
- Experience in scripting languages like Python.
