Emerson seeks a Design Engineer in Chengdu to develop new Isolation Valve designs, creating complete design packages and supporting the entire development process. This role requires a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering and 5+ years of relevant experience.

Responsibilities

  • Develop complete valve design packages, including detailed drawings, BOM, calculations, analysis reports, and equipment specifications.
  • Oversee new product development from customer CTQ survey and scope definition to system architecture, prototype establishment, and verification.
  • Manage the technical content of projects, including CTQ, functional requirements, and experimental verification.
  • Lead and implement technical reviews for order contracts, product designs, and changes.
  • Ensure the use of clean materials and environmentally friendly processes in new product development.
  • Promote and maintain a good EHS status throughout the design and development process.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • 5+ years of Manufacturing, Mechanics, or Laboratory test Engineering experience.
  • Ability to use complex tools for engineering analysis.
  • Knowledge of mechanical design theories, casting material, valve & actuation principles.
  • Working knowledge of international standards, ISO 9000 quality procedures, and design tools like 6б, FMEA.
  • Support customer communication, quotation, documentation, audit, and certification.
  • Support production process, quality plan, and functional business.
  • Contribute to supply resource development for critical components through technical evaluation.

Desired Qualifications

  • R&D experience in valves is preferred.
  • Necessary consciousness of teamwork, communication, and performance excellence.
