Responsibilities
- Sets the strategic direction for data governance.
- Leads data standardization, drives domain data standardization, and system alignment.
- Acts as a data leader to set strategic direction.
- Supports business processes and resolves data issues.
- Develops data expertise within a data domain.
- Plans and designs future data availability within domain expertise.
- Proposes and leads changes in existing data or acquires new data.
- Provides information on data lifecycle and its support to business objectives.
- Trains business stakeholders on domain data definitions and impacts.
- Creates and maintains documentation of domain data definitions and uses.
Requirements
- Experience in Information Technology.
- Management experience.
- Experience in (data) domain subject matter.
- Data Steward Qualification Exam.
- Knowledge of data sources, transformation rules and users.
- Data analysis.
- Understand how a data operating model can be applied within an organisation.
- Knowledge of TOGAF (The open group architecture framework).
- DAMA (Data Management Association).
