Responsibilities
- Lead a team of Data Center Technicians and promote a performance culture through coaching and development.
- Oversee the quality installation of server hardware and components and manage complicated installations/troubleshooting.
- Ensure the installation, configuration, and decommissioning of assets align with long-term infrastructure goals.
- Manage network deployments and develop contingency plans to mitigate risks.
- Maintain security and operational standards, using data trends to identify process improvements and proactively ensure maximum system uptime.
- Advocate for workplace safety by overseeing Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) initiatives and compliance programs.
- Maintain, monitor, and execute security and operational procedures; track and analyze trends to identify opportunities for improvement.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent practical experience.
- 10 years of experience in computing infrastructure, network architecture, operating systems (Linux), or hardware.
- 10 years of experience managing technical teams in charge of installing, configuring, testing, troubleshooting, or maintaining hardware servers and its components.
- Experience in site-level data center operational leadership including building and managing leadership teams and developing managers.
- Ability to work non-standard hours, including working weekends, night shifts, holidays and on shift-based schedules as required.
Desired Qualifications
- Experience leading high-stakes operations within 24/7 environments, including the successful management of remote teams and distributed workforces.
- Experience working in data center environments, including building and operating infrastructure, and network and compute architecture and lifecycle, and Linux/Unix system administration.
- Experience with initiating and executing strategic initiatives in a global environment.
- Experience in improving Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) initiatives and implementing a safety culture at the site level.
- Demonstrated strong performance and experience with data gathering, analysis and presentation skills.
