In short

Drives data center construction and integration activities, providing key input on fit-out related activities to ensure data-driven decisions. Manages project delivery focusing on safety, quality, cost, and schedule, while collaborating with internal teams and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Drives data centre construction/integration activities on local/campus projects.
  • Reviews engineering documentation, site, and building plans.
  • Facilitates the delivery of local projects by making timely data-based decisions.
  • Confirms scoped resources are available for the job.
  • Provides project data supporting cost and KPI metrics, invoices, processes, and policies.
  • Attends and advises during owner/architect/contractor meetings.
  • Collaborates with internal teams to maintain corporate vision and goals.
  • Represents Microsoft as a safety leader and advocate onsite, ensuring adherence to safety standards.
  • Reviews and assists with developing risk mitigation activities.
  • Monitors vendor and/or contractor performance, ensuring compliance with contracts.
  • Manages the project delivery to the expectations of Safety, Quality, Predictable Cost and Schedule.
  • Holds GC and contracted vendors accountable to their contracted deliverables.
  • Performs site walks daily and tracks project progress on schedule, quality, and safety.
  • Manages, monitors, and is accountable for the construction scope, progress, execution, schedule, and cost.
  • Ensures CSA and MEP works meet the highest quality standards and comply with relevant codes and specifications.
  • Maintains accurate records of all construction activities.
  • Supports commissioning, start-up, troubleshooting, and handover of the project.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Construction Project Management, Architecture, Engineering, or related field AND 10+ years related experience OR equivalent experience.
  • Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements.
  • Must pass Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Desired Qualifications

  • 12+ years experience working on data center projects.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Construction Project Management, Architecture, Engineering, or related field AND 12+ years related experience OR equivalent experience.

Benefits

  • Base pay range: €85,700.00 - €152,800.00 per year (Italy).
  • Certain roles may be eligible for benefits and other compensation.
