Volvo Financial Services is seeking a Bilingual Inside Sales Specialist in Mississauga, Ontario, to develop new business opportunities and support existing clients in the equipment finance industry. This role requires strong sales, financial analysis, and communication skills, with a focus on Owner Operator and Fleet Small business segments.
Responsibilities
- Represent Volvo and Mack Financial Services in Canada, developing new business opportunities.
- Act as a liaison for day-to-day quoting and customer/dealer expectations.
- Achieve specific measurable sales and operational results with professionalism.
- Provide F&I support to dealers without an F&I department.
- Directly interact with OEM field staff and support representatives.
- Structure and submit financial transactions, working with Credit Analysts & DFM.
- Monitor sales pipeline daily and assist DFM in closing deals.
- Track volume and penetration for all dealers to drive results.
- Manage territory for customer and dealer service requests in the temporary absence of a DFM.
- Assist DFM in preparation of doc request form, pricing, and quoting.
- Utilize PowerBI reporting for dealer/client insights.
- Support the Sales team and partner with Marketing for financial product promotion.
- Research declined deals to find alternative structures for credit approval.
- Monitor approved but unfunded deals and proactively contact dealerships.
- Ensure new rates are updated and drive the process for publication.
- Liaison between VCE and DFMs for residuals pricing.
- Participate in cross-department meetings to drive process efficiencies.
- Support the creation of all necessary transaction documentation.
- Work with other departments to ensure continued support of sales objectives.
- Provide testing support for new system launches and updates.
- Administer VCE subsidies and subsidy database.
- Assist with quarterly VCE/Truck programs.
- Monitor Q2 status page for submitted deals aging over 24hrs.
- Provide sales analysis by reviewing various reports.
- Ensure follow-up process works with DFMs, Operations, and Credit to fund transactions.
- Provide support to Sales Director and RSMs on assigned key projects.
- Occasional travel may be required.
Requirements
- Bilingual in English and French is required.
- Proven financial services expertise in the equipment finance industry (5 years progressive experience).
- Solid understanding of financial analysis, including analyzing dealer financial statements and operations.
- Solid understanding of sales/marketing, strategic forecasting/planning and implementation.
- Problem-solving and customer service skills in a financial products environment.
- Experience in structuring and negotiating finance transactions.
- Technical skills in financing capital equipment and related business law requirements.
- Understands the principles of leasing (tax aspects, cash management, off-balance sheet, lease vs. buy).
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to generate effective and consistently reliable customer responses.
- Computer literate in MS Office.
- Good at problem-solving, a critical thinker, thrives in a team environment, and likes to look at the big picture.
Desired Qualifications
- Post-Secondary Degree in Finance or Marketing is preferred.
- SuperTRUMP or similar finance/lease pricing tool is desired.
