Responsibilities
- Draft, review, negotiate, and manage commercial agreements across Qualcomm business units.
- Advise internal business teams on standard contracts, key commercial terms, and system-related questions regarding customer onboarding.
- Enable ongoing business opportunities through standard contracting while appropriately identifying and mitigating legal and business risk in negotiations.
- Support legal team members on cross-functional projects, including business unit initiatives and M&A-related activities as needed.
- Contribute to a collaborative team culture with flexibility, accountability, and willingness to support priorities of varying scope and complexity.
Requirements
- Juris Doctorate degree or international equivalent.
- Active bar license or other lawful ability to practice law in the state or jurisdiction where the employee will be located (for example, ability to gain admission as registered in house counsel).
- Office-based position located in San Diego, CA and expected to comply with the company's onsite work policy.
- U.S. based position and not eligible for visa sponsorship.
Desired Qualifications
- 2+ years of relevant experience as counsel at a top tier law firm or in-house.
- Experience with technology-based transactions.
- Intellectual property background and experience.
- Demonstrated ability to exercise sound legal judgment, work independently, and collaborate effectively with business and legal stakeholders.
- Self-starter with intellectual curiosity, strong client-service orientation, and comfort using technology to improve legal and contracting processes.
